Sophomore College Project:

Soft Goods Thigh Bag

This particular project was the first time I had ever sewn anything with a machine. The brief was simple: create a soft goods product to fit the needs of an assigned underclassman through interviews, discussion, and trials around campus.

I took this as an opportunity to get more familiar with creating quick mock-up sketches and to take full advantage of the studio space I was given. I explored hundreds of variations, colorways, and materials to land on something both my counterpart and I were happy with.

While I am happy with the journey, this is certainly a project I intend to revisit one day. I haven’t quite gotten that gut feeling that I did it the best I could. And knowing what I know now, a lot would change.
